A few people have emailed me asking what my story is and why I recommend natural PCOS remedies so much and why I hate drugs and surgery as a way to shrink ovarian cysts and cure PCOS. My name is Jennifer Koch and this is a story about myself and my sister Katie who both had run ins with PCOS or ovarian cysts.

Click here to find out how Katie & I finally overcame PCOS and ovarian cysts

It starts with my sister who had been suffering from PCOS symptoms for quite some time. She had most of them, acne, hair growth on the face, weight gain and was subject to erratic and painful periods for years. Many doctors did not even twig this was polycystic ovary syndrome but after a few more opinions one doctor did confirm the problem.

The solution he found was drugs.

Hormone drugs, metformin and a bunch of others were given to Katie who was desperately trying to get pregnant with her new husband. She was stressed and sick and felt ugly and awful. She was having a really hard time and Niel her hubbie was very supportive but I don’t think he could quite understand what she was going through and to be honest, neither did I.

That is until I started having severe pains in my abdomen and back myself!

A trip to the doctor confirmed a huge ovarian cyst that had been growing for some time but not full blown PCOS. I was terrified and wanted an immediate solution. The doctor once again prescribed drugs but after seeing how USELESS they were with my sisters condition I refused and wanted another option.

He then suggested surgery but was at least good enough to tell me that surgery had serious risks and could damage my ovaries leading to infertility. The last options was to wait and see as they sometimes shrink on their own which is hardly an optimal PCOS cure.

It didn’t. In fact, it got bigger and more painful!

I decided to take matters into my own hands and started looking for another way. I had always been skeptical of natural ovarian cyst and natural PCOS remedies and natural treatments of any kind but i delved a little deeper.

I found a lot of misinformation and a lot of pseudo scientific junk but i did find enough bits an pieces to see that other women were having success with natural PCOS and ovarian cyst cures.

I was about to give up completely and opt for surgery!

However I finally found a guide that was recommended to me by a friendly internet user and former PCOS sufferer who said it would help my problem and my sisters. I was still skeptical but i contacted my sister who was very excited to try it because her erratic periods had basically ceased completely and was at her wits end.

I have to say that open looking at the guide and starting to follow it’s advice my skepticism started to melt away. Some things were absolute common sense which did annoy me a little but most of the guide told me and Katie how to apply some simple rules as well as some more complex things we had no idea about.

In about a month my ovarian cyst shrunk down to a normal size and i have not had one since and Katie was showing remarkable improvement.

A month after that Katie had shed about 22 pounds and her period had come back without pain.

Two months after that she fell pregnant for the first time due to natural PCOS remedies which gave her back her fertility and her health.

All i have to say is this PCOS treatment works to reverse the condition and also to shrink ovarian cysts. You do NOT need surgery, your do NOT need drugs … you just need a change in perception, lifestyle and a few little known methods that the pharmaceutical companies don’t want you to know so they can keep selling you drugs year after year.

If you are in the same shoes as I was or my sister was I highly recommend you click below to visit Ovarian Cyst Cures and to find out about the natural PCOS remedy they provide.

If you need help getting pregnant with PCOS then you are not alone. PCOS is one of the largest factors in female infertility around the world and has made many a women with baby dreams miserable with worry and stress.

There are ways you can increase you chances of conceiving with PCOS however and it basically revolves around treating the root causes of PCOS and not just the immediate problem of falling pregnant. This is important because if you still suffer the hormonal imbalanced of PCOS there is a much higher chance of miscarriage as well. As such here are a few steps you need to take to improve your chances of falling pregnant, avoiding miscarriage and curing PCOS at the same time!

Detox

We nearly all live in an environment of toxic substances that attack our bodies in small ways. Detoxification can be dealt with externally and internally as well.

Externally you want to rid your home of substances that are toxic. Get rid of chemicals and sprays that are suspect and replace chemical cleaners with more organic alternatives. Living in a cleaner environment does amazing things for your body and help the environment too.

Internally however you must also pay close attention to. Flushing the accumulated toxins from your body allows better working of all of your organs and the process of detoxing will boost your immune system as well which is vital for a healthy pregnancy. A neat site on detoxification

Diet

This is the big one in my opinion. I used to eat what I thought was a moderately healthy diet but really it was full of toxins and terrible things for my body. I believe this was the main cause of a very painful ovarian cyst I developed. Changing what you eat will help balance hormones and control blood sugar levels which is essential for your healthy pregnancy and chances of conceiving.

Low GI foods are a good place to start. Having foods which release sugars into the body slowly means your body will not be flooded with insulin due to your condition of insulin resistance which is part and parcel of PCOS. This means eating foods which have complex carbohydrates and not simple carbohydrates. The most basic way of saying this is to not eat processed foods and instead eat more natural and raw foods instead.

Avoiding sugars is also a major part of controlling blood sugars and hormones. Cutting back on sugary foods will help a great deal but also finding foods that have a lot of sugary hidden in them such as juices which are often full of sugars despite advertising being healthy!

Exercise

Along with diet exercise must be performed to invigorate the body and also to lose weight. Weight loss helps reduce the severity of inulin resistance and while it is more difficult for those with PCOS to lose weight regular light exercise can have an amazing effect when combined with a good diet.

Stress

Or more importantly not stressing is also helpful in controlling your hormones. Stress lowers your immune system and increases a hormone called cortisol which is yet another hormone thrown into a volatile mix which can lead to the symptoms of PCOS and infertility.

Destressing is a great help getting pregnant with PCOS and is something you must customise to your particular situation. My best advice is that you should not sweat the little things and not worry about things you cannot change. Once you can step back form the niggles in life you can focus on the big picture and it will stress you less.

For more information about these things that will help you combat PCOS and finally help you become pregnant and carry your child to term check out Natural Ovarian Cysts Relief Secrets as it helped my sister do exactly that.

I talk a lot about diet and food when dealing with PCOS as this is a major part of naturally treating the condition. A Polycystic Ovary Syndrome diet can be a complex thing for many women to grasp though. As such I wanted to talk a little more in depth about a few aspects of PCOS and food.

Proteins

Maintaining good levels of protein is very important. Protein helps your body do a few things such as:

Building and repairing body tissues.

Producing enzymes, hormones, and other substances the body uses.

Regulating your body processes, such as transporting nutrients, and making muscles contract.

Keeps the body healthy by resisting diseases

Produces stamina and energy.

Some of these are more important than others in combating PCOS but the bottom line is protein is very helpful and sometimes when we go on diets to lose weight (which is needed to stop PCOS) we forget about protein.

Try to get your protein from sources that are low in fat however including chicken, fish, low fat cheese and soy.

Fats

Speaking of fats, not all fast are bad. We are often led to believe that all fats are some sort of evil designed to make us expand like balloons but the truth is more complex.

You may have heard of essential fatty acids or omega 3 fats which are actually very good for you. These fats can be found in fish primarily such as mackerel, salmon and sardines. These are fats you want more of.

The worst sorts of fats however are called trans-fats. These are chemically “changed” fats that have a very bad reputation among nutritionists. Products such as margarine are trans-fatty for instance and have had many studies linking them with diabetes. This should make those with insulin resistance and PCOS take note. Check on the ingredients labels of foods and if they have partially hydrogenated on it then try to avoid them as much as possible.

Carbohydrates

Carbs are essential to give you energy you need to do basically everything! However carbs are good for you or bad for you depending on the TYPE of carbohydrate. For those that might not be up to speed on this a quick rundown is as follows.

Complex carbs are found in unrefined foods usually and take longer to digest and thus release sugars into the body slowly. This helps your body cope with blood sugar levels and makes your insulin resistance less problematic.

Simple Carbs are the opposite. They are digested quickly and send your blood sugar through the rood very quickly provoking a response for insulin in your body which floods the hormone pathways creating the imbalances that cause PCOS symptoms.

So if people tell you to go on a low carb diet they are not totally informed of the whole picture. Make sure you eat complex carbs and cut out the simple carbs and you will manage your blood sugar levels better and it will help you lose weight as well.

All of this and more is outlined in the recommended book on this site: Natural Ovarian Cysts Relief Secrets

However another publication that deals with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Diet help can be found on amazon here:

The Insulin-Resistance Diet–Revised and Updated: How to Turn Off Your Body’s Fat-Making Machine

This is quite a good book too actually but I feel its total focus on diet does not cover the entire holistic approach needed to get rid of PCOS for good.

She wanted to know about PCOS hair growth treatment options so I thought I would tell everyone a little of what I researched.

Personally I think that treating the symptoms of a problem is a bit of a waste of time when ou could be treating the underlying cause of the condition. However I do have to admit that hirsutism can be incredibly embarressing and damaging to a womens self esteem. As such a twofold approach is needed … but first for those who might be here for the first time a little bit of insight into WHY you suffer from hair growth.

PCOS is the result of a condition called insulin resistance which causes hormone imbalances in your body as a result. This hormone imabalnce gives rise to androgens such as testosterone, a primarily male hormone which women usually do not produce too much of. This increase in testosterone causes many problems with oen being hirsutism. As such you can treat the symptom and remove the hair but it will always grow back while you have PCOS.

So what is the solution?

Work on your insulin resistance fist and foremost. While you are doing this you can see that hair is removed regularly and somewhere down the line you will end up realising you are not removing hair anymore ebcause your hormones are back to normal.

Hair Removal

I have a little bit of hair and I usually opt for a little bit of shaving. It is cheap, gets good results and if you are careful is free from any risk of infections and rashes though they can happen. Other methods include using hair removal creams (not advised as they smell very bad and leave rashes) or plucking which takes forever.

Other more high tech solutions include electolysis and laser treatment. Both these methods do not work for everyone however and are expensive and can still be painful.

If you ask me shaving and plucking will do for most women and will save you money and time you need for the real way for PCOS hair growth treatment.

PCOS Insulin Resistance Treatment

Stopping the hormonal imbalance is your primary goal. Stopping the excessive flow of testosterone is the only way to stop the hair growth for good and doing so is mroe than a simple action like shaving.

You must change your lifestyle, your eating habits, your exercise habits and also your mental habits.

The 3 main points I continue to tell women are:

Eat a healthy diet free from hormones and sugars. The fresher the food the better and the lower the GI the better to help with the bodies problem with blood sugar.

Exercise is essential. Many women who have lost just a few pounds have managed to shrug off symptoms of PCOS they thought they were stuck with forever.

De-Stress. Stress lowers your immune system and also creates more hormones which interfere with a body already out of control with imbalances. Being less stressed will help your health and well being and if you follow the chain will stop hirsutism too.

All these things and more are outlined in the recommended guide on this site: Natural Ovarian Cysts Relief Secrets

One part of natural PCOS remedies and most natural remedies for that matter are herbs. PCOS herbal remedies are indeed something you can use to help you overcome polycystic ovary syndrome but are they enough to get you the results you need?

In my opinion, no.

Herbal supplements are just that; supplements. Meant to aid your health and well being but they are not cure all pills just as medication will not cure everything either. They are very useful and are much better than medication due to most PCOS herbal remedies being free from side effects but they are supplementary to your total cure for PCOS.

To really get rid of this condition you must take a more holistic approach which involves a range of measures designed to combat the underlying cause of the hormonal imbalances in your body. More on how to do this through the highly recommended guide Natural Ovarian Cysts Relief Secrets which does include a decent amount of information on herbal supplements and ways to use herbs for pain relief.

However if you did come here to find some PCOS herbal remedies there is one I recommend

Gymnema

Gymnema sylvestre as it is fully known is a herb that has been used for thousands of years. IT is becoming more popular and can be taken in a simple pill form that can be bought from health food stores and online.

Basically it is helpful in reducing your blood sugar levels which are a major problem in PCOS sufferers because of their insulin resistance. Insulin is overproduced to deal with blood sugar causing massive hormonal imbalances leading to the various symptoms of the condition.

Diabetes sufferers have been raving about this herb as a help for their more serious condition as they are linked to PCOS problems too.

It is suggested that you can take a dosage of 400 to 600 mg daily as studies have shown no adverse effects using this supplement at all.
